The governments of China, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos in association with the government of France are expected to launch a 4-yr project to keep an eye on any sign of bird flu outbreaks among humans in the region. The project will be funded by the French Development Agency, as the cost will cross 7.6 million U.S. dollars.

Vietnam’s Pasteur institutes, different institutes in Shanghai, Paris, Cambodia and Laos will make its standard of labs more advance and will make their national disease response networks better heeled. The institutes will exchange data and specimens to counter the danger of bird flu outbreak.

Fourteen hospitals in major cities of Vietnam are told by the health ministry to take a close eye on any bird flu outbreaks among people in Vietnam.
