
The golden old days have gone for Monarch in Nepal. The king has been lost the power and now losing the love of his own people. It has been completed one year of his ouster from the power and the king is facing the heat.
On the day of Mahashivratri, the King Gyanendra faced the growing public outrage when crowds threw stones at him and to his black Mercedes. The people were asking him to come out of the car and stand in a drizzle at the Pashupatinath temple. The King had come to the temple for offering prayers to lord Shiva.
The public anger caused panic in the temple authorities as well as the palace officials and bodyguards escorting the king. More than 300,000 devotees had turned up braving rainy weather and a bandh the day before. The security people were standing helpless as any use of force could have caused a stampede outside the temple.
Later, the staggered king was quickly taken inside the temple. He waited there for nearly half-an hour till the security people controlled the crowd.
After that the crowd outside gave way for him to race to his car. During his departure, people from the mob threw stones at the royal motorcade too.
