The ongoing peace process for establishing democratic set up in Nepal has received a major set back on Sunday. The government of Nepal and the rebel leaders has failed to settle an interim constitution and parliament.
The peace process was aimed to stop Maoist insurgency in the country. Earlier, the government as well as Maoist rebels had agreed to sit together and talk about the establishment interim constitution and form a provisional parliament in the country. There was a proposal also to form interim cabinet to allow rebel leaders to join cabinet.
Senior Maoist leader Dinanath Sharma, said that
we are ready to talk, but the government is slow with the interim constitution and parliament which should be the main focus now after the peace deal has been signed.
