There is always a threat of falling nuclear technology in the hand of terrorist. However, the Pakistani government repeatedly refuses any chance of it. The Pakistan’s envoy to The US, Mahmud Ali Durrani, has said on this matter that there is a no chance of falling Pakistani nuclear arsenal in the hands of extremists in any case.



He was replying on a question about suspicion in the US on the security of Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal in the case of a ’successful’ bid on the life of President Parvez Musharraf.



According to him, the people of the US should have confidence in the Pakistan military and in the Pakistani system. Extremists in Pakistan are only two percent of the population. The suspicion is baseless.



Parvez Musharaff is the sole authority of Pakistani Nuclear programs. The situation of Pakistan says that he cannot keep faith on anyone because the father of Pakistani Nuclear Program, Abdul Qadir Khan, was allegedly caught providing the nuclear technology to Iran. It is very difficult to believe on Pakistan’s word that their nukes are safe.
