Musharraf’s autobiography, In The Line of Fire, has been launched in New York and created debate on so many sensitive issues such as Kargil War, Nuclear technology export to North Korea, Iran and Libya, US threat to Pakistan.

In Pakistan, the major opposition leaders have criticized Musharraf for disclosing state secrets in his book. They said that he did it only to increase selling value of his autobiography.

They even said that Musharraf has used the national resources to launch the English edition of the book in New York and Hindi Edition in Delhi.

the spokesperson for Nawaz Sharif said that Musharraf wants to make more money as he is realizing that his political downfall is near. He said that this book is anti-Pakistan and a collection of lies. Musharraf is doing nothing but presenting such negative image of the country in the world.

On the other hand, PPP spokesperson Farhatullah Babar said that Musharraf, as the president of Pakistan and sitting Army chief is spending public funds to promote his book.

According to him, this book is the compilation of the critical events such as nuclear proliferation made by Pakistan, war on terror, the Kargil conflict and the Oct 12, 1999 military takeover only.
