North Korean Nuclear TalksWe have said this before. We knew this circus called the 6-nation talks on Korean nuclear disarmament was going to end like as it ended so many times before. As predicted North Korea said on Friday it would not start dismantling its nuclear weapons programme until the United States lifts sanctions on eight Pyongyang companies, bringing six-way nuclear talks back to stalemate.

The unexpected demand came on the last day of a three-day session meant to kick-start negotiations on how to implement a September 19 agreement in which the North committed to disarm in return for energy aid and other benefits.

We must start expecting such unexpected demands and not expect the obviously expected. Enough of such talks, Uncle Sam must come up with a bilateral non-aggression pact with Korea and lift the sanctions ending the untold miseries that brought to the Korean people, especially the young children and old people.
