Every society needs a set of rules - written or unwritten - to keep itself going. The next most important question to follow is, who will set these norms? And it is here that the need to have a body politik arises, which would lay down the set of rules for carrying out day-to-day activities in a smooth manner.
Thus, politics is intertwined with the very existence of ours. It touches our lives in ways more than one. Howsoever bright or ugly the shades of politics, we cannot keep away from it, since it would be wrong to assume that if we don’t take interest in politics, politics would also not take interest in us.
That being the reason, we decided to present politics around us - beginning with the coverage of Asia-centric political events of global interest - in all its hues, along with a generous sprinkle of unbiased and independent opinion. We do not claim that our opinion will be the last word on the issue; but at the same time, unless there is a spectrum of views on a given subject, the debate cannot be complete. And perhaps, that is how the concept of Blogging can be justified best.
We look forward to your reactions as well as valuable inputs to give the blog on Politics in Asia a more meaningful shape.
