Muslims should possess high-tech weaponry, which they can call their own.
Why?
‘...to help defend them against oppression!’
Former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad urged this in a speech addressing a student community in northern Malaysia, according to a news report.
Instead of purchasing weapons created by others, Muslims now - according to Mahathir — should learn to manufacture their own weaponry, be it fighter aircraft, rockets, cannons or pistols.
According to the newspaper, The Star, Mahathir said,
To enhance our own defense capabilities, we must build our own brand of sophisticated weapons... It’s “not that we want to attack others, but we need to protect our masses of believers.
Though Mahathir claimed that Muslims are oppressed worldwide, he did not specify what threats Muslim face, as he felt an urgent need for their defence capabilities to be raised with weaponries!
