Pakistan’s renowned ghazal singer Mallika Pukhraj’s son, Tanveer Hussain, has declared that he was a member of lashkar-e-Toiba.

Tanveer, a retired Major of Pakistani Army, has accepted that he had links with Lashkar’s network.

He is holding the important posts of Parliamentary Secretary for Defence. He has disclosed his links during the debate in National Assembly. Pakistani Army attack on a madrassa in Balochistan was the matter of debate.

Tanveer revealed the fact during debate by saying,

I want to inform the House that I have been a member of this (LeT) organization.

Most importantly, he said after his speech that he is still a member of the LeT even through it was banned in Pakistan.

He said that he has no hesitation of being part of LeT despite it has been banned in Pakistan and despite he holds important post in the Pakistani government.

LeT is reportedly behind the terrorist attacks happened in India and India has blamed Pakistan for not taking strong steps against the LeT working from Pakistan.

Now a government employee, who holds an important post, has openly accepted his links with the terrorist outfit while he is in the government shows the how well the LeT network is working in Pakistan. It discloses Pakistan ’s soft approach for curbing terrorism in India.
