The US force in Iraq has got two big blows in 48 hours as Iraqi Mujahideen fighters had shot down a US Cobra helicopter yesterday. The American troops had encircled the village where the helicopter had gone down.

The American soldiers had started searching of crew of the helicopter in the al-Hajj Najm and Kantarat ar-Rawiyin gardens. This was the second incident in last 48 hours when the Iraqi Mujahideen had shot down the US helicopter.

Iraqi Mujahideen forces had reported to fire medium-range Katyusha rockets at the US bases al-Warrar and at the Agricultural College in ar-Ramadi near Baghdad.

In another development, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has told the visiting Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki that the only solution to create estability in Iraq is the exit of US forces.
