truth about musharraf

Law in Pakistan exists to promote lawlessness. Every institution in Pakistan except the ISI, the military and the terrorism cartel is just there for public entertainment. To take anything else seriously is making a mountain of a mole-hill. Other institutions like the Judiciary in Pakistan are there not for the sake of law and order but have been allowed to exist to prevent us from finding out what Pakistan has become.

The BBC reports yet another spat between Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry and the Prime Minister Mr. Shaukat Aziz. This time it is Chaudhury chiding Aziz for not allowing the deposed Nawaz Sharif to enter the country. This, the Chief Justice, indignantly pointed out was against the Court’s orders. It is as if the Chief Justice of Pakistan does not know that President Musharraf gives not even a hoot for what Justice Chaudhry might say.

In fact, Musharraf wanted to remove him but mass support for the beleaguered Chaudhry for once thwarted the military President. All this has only one purpose, to divert international attention from the fact that Pakistan is nothing but only a training-ground for Islamic terrorists. The country was never under Musharraf; President Bush had long called the shots there. Now her Taliban and Arab masters have claimed her as rightfully theirs.

If all this is true, then why do the international media not focus on the terrorists in Pakistan more than it does on the antiques of the Pakistani bureaucracy and her politicians?
To find out the answer, we have to travel to the White House. Henry Kissinger had long ago directed US policy to a blatant pro-Pakistan stance.

George Bush in his characteristic ‘cowboy manner’ had repeatedly tried to project Pakistan as an ally. This was done to use Pakistan as a base for conducting the search for Osama bin Laden. Bush does not want us to think of Pakistan as a rogue nation for then it will be clear to the world how the USA’s Pakistan appeasement has fallen flat. Also Pakistan serves as a convenient ally to keep Indian always under pressure.

But, Bush does not yet realize that for all his superior intelligence every single conflict between the various Government bodies and Musharraf may be only parts of an elaborate drama. There is only Musharraf and every other public institution in Pakistan emanates from the military. Beyond Musharraf only terrorists exist. The common man has never mattered in Pakistan.
