U.S endeavor to restrict Iranian uranium enrichment program became more vigorous when the European Union imposed sanctions on Iran to curb its Uranium enrichment program.
Iran to prove its credibility:
The European Union asked Iran to prove its credibility of developing uranium for civilian purposes. The resolution, approved on Saturday, after the arduous negotiations of two months, urged all countries to stop cooperation, financial aid and block supply of material and technology that can help Iran in uranium enrichment. It also propagated to seize the assets of 10 key companies and 12 individuals related to Iran’s clandestine program of uranium enrichment.
Iran adamant: EU offers Incentives in return.
Iran, on the other side, denounced the resolution, refusing to comply with it, and further reiterated to limit cooperation with IAEA - a response that U.S warned could bring tougher resolution and penalties. However, EU foreign ministers also reiterated that a package of economic incentives would be conferred if Tehran agrees to halt Uranium enrichment.

Mr. Ahmadinejad, Iranian president called these sanctions the arbitration of some countries who want the monopoly of producing nuclear fuel. Ali Larijani, Iran’s top national security official, on Monday denied to stop its energy development program as a precondition for the talks. Still, the door for negotiations is open and we hope for a peaceful solution of the issue unlike war of Iraq and Afghanistan.
