The American troops conducted another massive military drive in southern Afghanistan and killed a large numbers of Taleban commanders. The major military operation has happened in the Helmand province.



On the other hand, there was a report that the Taleban forces have captured the Naway town in Helmand. According to Lt Col Paul Fitzpatrick, as the result of the massive military operation, the Taleban network did face major setback in the districts of Sangin, Musa Qala and Baghran.



At the same time, a military soldier has died near Uruzgan province. Eleven other soldiers were wounded in heavy clashes against the Taleban in Tirin Kot district.



According to the US-led coalition forces, four alleged al-Qaeda militants in eastern Khost province killed during another operation, however, the local residents said that they were civilians.



Al-Qaeda as well as Taleban militants both have made a series of attacks in Afghanistan during past some months in the south and east provinces that resulted in the major military drive.
