In a significant development in Bangladesh, the military backed caretaker Government prevented the former prime minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, to come back to the country on the corruption and murder charges.

Two former prime ministers exiled:
The military backed caretaker government in Bangladesh has asked all the international airways not to carry Sheikh Hasina back home or they will not be allowed to land in Bangladesh.
To join Sheikh Hasina in the exile is her political rival, Khaleda Zia, who has agreed to go into the exile with the interim government in Bangladesh assuring to deal with her son leniently. Her son was also detained and interrogated by the police last Monday for corruption charges.
A move to get rid of violence and anarchy:
In a bid to clean the years of misrule, corruption and anarchy that resulted due to political rivalry between the two political giants. The military backed interim government took the rein into its hands and delayed the January election declaring the state of emergency in the country. The interim government seems on the brink to get rid of its two former prime ministers barring them from entering the country.
Move against politicians received public applause:
How this move in Bangladesh is going to affect the future course of actions is veiled in the future itself. Nonetheless, the present move against the two former prime ministers received appraisal of the elites in Bangladesh. The treatment that politicians are meted out with is not considered as repression but the retribution for their corruption and abuse of power that has resulted in their banishment.
